Health and fitness are my life! Eating right and staying healthy have been very important to me my whole life. I have always been a very active individual, an avid cyclist and outdoorsman. Unlike most Personal Trainers it was not a background in sport that brought me into the fitness game. What brought me in to personal training was a desire to help. To help try and put an end to this sick, tired, out of shape society. People are bombarded with nutrition and exercise advice from everywhere and are somehow getting more and more sick and out of shape. My mission is to educate and inspired people to achieve their health and fitness goals. but more importantly teach them the fundamentals (e.g. no nonsense functional movements and straight forward nutritional advice) in order for them to thrive and not just survive. My education has included a strong practical curriculum in both exercise physiology and athletic injuries. I spent some time as a varsity rugby player at the university, and have played through the club, representative and international levels. I also enjoy running, cycling, and boxing. I have played/competed in a wide variety of sports, from soccer, to competitive diving, to football. I have coached rugby and football at both the high school and club level, which has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages and mindsets. I pride myself on the ability to zone in on an individuals needs and communicate in a relatable fashion to make sure that you’re getting the feedback you want on every repetition. I promote a high level of motivation and intensity in my training sessions, while keeping them manageable and fun!
